Aquarius Sees Changing Ocean Salinity

First global map of ocean saltiness, a composite of the first two and a half weeks of data since Aquarius instrument became operational on August 25. Image Credit: NASA/GSFC/JPL-CaltechThe first full year of surface data captured by NASA's Aquarius instrument shows seasonal and other changes in ocean salinity patterns.

Salinity variations, one of the main drivers of ocean circulation, are closely connected with the cycling of freshwater around the planet and provide scientists with valuable information on how the changing global climate is altering global rainfall patterns

NuSTAR Helps Solve Riddle of Black Hole Spin

Two X-ray space observatories, NASA's Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) and the European Space Agency's XMM-Newton, have teamed up to measure definitively, for the first time, the spin rate of a black hole.

The supermassive black hole lies at the dust- and gas-filled heart of a galaxy called NGC 1365, and it is spinning almost as fast as Einstein's theory of gravity will allow. This artist's concept illustrates a supermassive black hole with millions to billions times the mass of our sun. Supermassive black holes are enormously dense objects buried at the hearts of galaxies.

hello everyone I working on  George  Washington carver.  he ivented  different  thing with peanuts like ink, cream, coffee, foods, he made more then 300 things, all from peanuts.

The Greatest Electriciain

I'm Mark and I have done some more research on Granville Woods. He improved the telephone transmitter so you could send sounds bigger distances and the sounds came out louder and clearer. He also created a machine so a person could send a message by talking near telegraph keys and the other person could hear it like a telephone.

Hello everyone I will be working on Benjamin Bradley for the black history month project. He invented the steam engine that is powerful enough to power a warship.

My name is Samara and well it's black history month (obviously I mean we're all doing projects about it) My black history project can be related for "divas"/"footwear lovers" Wilson Burwell created shoes and boots! Crazy right I mean people buy shoes and boots and maybe even heels but don't know the first person who made them.I assure you all you can read more about him from websites Wikipedia and my posts ;)

hilyer a.f

hello my name is arianny marte and we all know that this month is black history month and the person that i am going gto be doing is hilyer a.f,mr hilyer a.f was the man that created the registers on  oct 26 he made and then on august1845  28 he attached the evaporator for hot air .then in the 1900 he made a club where married women would go to,to listen to music but only maried womens  that love music and the music was edited by   robert e.d
you do not want this to be in you at any time you guys are so lucky that you don't have to look at pictures about microbiology and work with them in real life because I do ~_~ Good luck if you do!

this is Love, J.L

The Black Edison

Hello science club members. My name is Mark Amevor and my inventor is Granville Woods. He invented a lot of things. Some of them are the Synchronous Multiplex Railway Telegraph, which allowed communications between train stations, a steam boiler furnace, and a automatic air brake for trains. He was also a independent person. When Thomas Edison offered him a position in the engineering department, Woods refused. Woods also created a improved induction telegraph system. Below is its blueprint.
